CyberSTEM (Robotics)

What Is CyberSTEM?

CyberSTEM is..... building Lego Mindstorm robots, programming, teamwork, competitions, learning the latest news about robotics and technology, learning about engineering fields, incorporating mathematics into science and technology applications, and researching technology opportunities.

During the CyberSTEM courses offered at Cope Middle School, the students will participate in RARC competitions which are sponsored by the Cyber Innovation Center. Students will also participate in STEM education units which focuses on various engineering fields and provides opportunities for students to complete hands on activities.  

RARC Competition

Cope Middle School teams won 1st and 2nd at Bossier Civic Center on Saturday, November 9, 2013.

Cope will compete again on May 3, 2014 at the Bossier Civic Center.


Mrs. Angie Bellotte was NICERC Teacher of the Month in Feb. of 2014.

Students have been working hard to complete coding at had a contest to be one of the 1st 1,000 schools to compete their coding program. The students in the STEM classes qualified to receive a $1,000 donation from

Our STEM program is now the proud owner of a MakerBot Replicator 2 3D printer. The students will begin working with cad programs to create programs to run on the 3D printer


This year, we plan to include coding, computer aided design, and even more 3D printing. Can't wait to see you in the 2014-2015 school year!
